History

Ken recalls that a whole two members of the bid committee actually lasted the full two years to the convention because the bid committee was only 3 committee - the rest were acquired by wandering around the convention after winning the bid at the WASFF meeting. Part of the ethos in the forming of the committee was that members would be recruited based on experience and enthusiasm for specific roles. While this was a visionary approach, it failed to survive a coup by members of the committee approximately 3 months into the organising period. [Just Ken]
