Australian sf is a class deemed to include any fictional work in any medium at least partly by Australians or Australian residents which could be deemed to be sf, or non-fiction about such work. Historically, sf has been described as "Science Fiction, Fantasy and Horror", but its definition as used here is broader.

Rather that a specifier such as Australian Speculative Fiction or Australian Science Fiction, Australian sf is used in order to maximise inclusiveness.
