Is cover art by Scott Campbell for Tobacco-Stained Mountain Goat eligible? Artist is described as an American artist, living in San Francisco. — Thomas Bull 12:46, 7 May 2011 (UTC)

No, it's not; its addition to the list is the result of an over-enthusiastic author. Please delete. (Note: you needn't check with anyone else in circumstances as obvious as this.) — JEREMY 13:05, 7 May 2011 (UTC)

Understood - sorry about the confusion re: artwork! Whopper 01:33, 22 May 2011 (CDT)

The Atheling is supposed to be awarded for a specific piece of work, rather than eg. "for reviews". (It has on occasion been awarded "for reviews" etc., or simply to a person for non-specific work, but these awards have been contrary to the rules.) We might need to add some kind of note to that effect (ie. that people need to pick one of the reviews by an individual when they nominate). The wording "or related work" is somewhat ambiguous, and might be something the committee needs to look at. — JEREMY 14:55, 19 August 2011 (CDT)

OK, I'm not sure that simply removing all that valuable information (which at least pointed people towards work they might want to consider) is the way to go. I mean, ideally you'd list each and every review individually, but that seems way too much work. Maybe it's worth adding a subsection within the Atheling listing which points out people who have produced Atheling-eligible work (and where it can be found), without specifying that work. — JEREMY 20:09, 20 August 2011 (CDT)

Adding my own work to the eligibility list

Is it frowned upon to add your own work to the Ditmar eligibility list? Aknyra 23:04, 14 March 2012 (CDT)

By no means. (Some people would tell you to nominate, vote and publicly solicit nominations and votes for yourself too, although that's certainly a greyer area--rah-rah blogging and tweeting seems to be OK; "How to Vote for Me" instructions tend to lead to viral frowning-upon.) Please, go ahead. And thanks for asking; I've edited your header to make it easier for other people to find this answer. — JEREMY 23:28, 14 March 2012 (CDT)
